SYNOPSIS:

​

2020, when sleeping was the only relief we seemed to get.

 

And when her last remaining string of hope had finally severed reality - emotional panic set in, spiked, and spun out into the ether of her subconscious - overloading her brain , forcing her body into a state of profound deep sleep. The panic then began manifesting itself into a sequence of dreams.

 

It was a direct representation of the world around her, through recollection of past memories connected to nostalgic media. Clips and scenes from various films, paired with music which had served as the backdrop and soundtrack throughout her life, were now being lucidly called upon, recalled as symbolic representations of her current distressed state of reality. A sequence of dreams reflected back to her a compiled expression of her deepest most sacred thoughts, emotions, visions, and experiences - all through memories of film and music.

 

Mental health and instability.

Societal and civil unrest.

Global pandemic pandemonium.

Heartbreak, loss, injustice.

Disconnection, disassociation.

Shattered self image, exploited virtual realities.

Emptied city streets, isolated housing, silent suffering.

Acceptance, love, and the inner light which healed it all.

 

Through great adversity, comes great enlightenment.
